Top Books

I am regularly asked by dentists how I have acquired certain aspects of my knowledge.

One of my answers is always: “reading” and I always pass on a recommendation!

Ever since my mother taught me to read at a young age I have always enjoyed reading. I am also  very lucky that I can read a book quickly but also remember what I have read!

A tip that I can offer is to always write notes. I have a plastic wallet full of my hand written notes,  (which need to be typed, when I find a moment for that task). This way I can relate back to notes I  made at any point without having to read the book again.

I always used to order my books online as there are great discounts to be had and you can always  spend time searching for the right book for you at the time. However I now order books from my local  library. If they don’t have what you want in stock then they order it for you (which is usually my  situation).

So the books I recommend to read are all non-clinical. Some of them will help you not only in your    work life but in your personal life too. Others may only help your business.

Here’s two to get you started:

1.    7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey.

Definitely take notes on each chapter and summarise each chapter.

2.    Integrity Selling for the 21st Century: How to Sell the Way People Want to Buy by Ron Willingham.

This book will take you a while to read. If I remember correctly it also states how to read the book at the beginning. I have found anyone who did not read this important part did struggle with the book. Again do make a summary but not on your first read!

If you want to find these books quickly simply copy and paste the titles into Amazon under the books  section and they will appear for you to order.

 Happy reading
