No matter how professional and competent your staff, it’s vital you have ultimate control of your Facebook page. If your Facebook manager leaves the practice, or posts something you’re not happy with, you need to be able to take back day-to-day control until someone new can take over. The best way to do this is to set up the page yourself, then appoint the appropriate staff member as a page administrator – they have less control than you, and you’re able to remove their privileges if necessary.

Ultimately, Facebook shouldn’t be something that you find stressful or difficult. If you’re a complete novice, ask a trusted member of staff to show you how it all works, and spend some time looking at other business pages to see what they do and how well it works. Start small and build up steadily, and you can’t go too far wrong.
