What does your Treatment Coordinator do for your dental practice?

This is a question that I love to ask to anyone working in a dental practice that has a treatment coordinator.

The most common answer is “I don’t know really. They help the patient complete the medical history form – we’re not sure what we should be doing!”

The role of the Treatment Coordinator is a detailed and comprehensive role. It does not consist of purely checking a medical history form. Any one can do this in your dental practice. A Treatment Coordinator does so much more than that. They provide the answers to every dentists headache and it is legal and ethical.

It is important that you define a role description for your Treatment Coordinator one that works well in your practice.
