Too little too late – BT and SKY

After a good year of frustration with my BT fibre optic broadband, replaced hubs, engineers coming out and having to re-set my network settings every day I had enough.

Virgin have been targeting us for ages and finally for them the direct mail marketing has worked. Their TV package is so much cheaper than Sky (for the channels we use) and I decided to swap.

What happened on each call to cancel? I was offered great deals and discounts, particallry with Sky. I have to hand it to them, they have a well trained team to deal with the cancelation but as I said to them its too little too late.

Sky: “you have been a customer for over 10 years miss Horton”

Me: “as a loyal customer why have you not offered me any savings or deals before?”

On the 18th September I will be a Virgin customer savings lots of money and getting a better service.

Everyone is busy marketing for new patients’ with great offers but it is important that you make your existing client base know that your offers are available to them too – just in case they decide to jump ship for an offer somewhere else!
