Size Matters! – How Big is your Referral Card?
.
I have never been a fan of the large size referral cards that practices use. The reason for this is that it doesn’t fit in my purse or my business card holder!
.
However in December I was given a referral card probably about A7 size (10.5 x 7.5 cm approx).
.
The business’s process was good; they asked for me to refer in a very nice way and i said yes and took the card.
.
.
I was having lunch with a friend last week and we were chatting as ladies do! I then recommended she visit said business.
.
She asked ‘have you got their number?’ Well guess what I has lying in my bag? The referral card.
.
It was lying in my bag because it didn’t fit in my purse. Yes it was battered and tatty but she now has 20% off and I get £10 my next appointment with the business for referring her.

The ladies that are reading this may be thinking ‘what would have happened if you had cleaned out your bag?’
.
Great question because i had actually cleaned out my bag quite a few times since the visit, but because i’d had this conversation with the business I had kept it – yes i would have felt bad about putting it out for recycling!
.
So every now and then we have to eat our words and take back what we have said.
.
My point however is that this only worked because I was asked in a professional, nice way, they had dealt with the WIIFM – there was something in it for my friend and me too!
