Leadership for dentists: Purpose

Leadership is something that you choose to do. Leadership is needed for your business to grow and succeed. Without it you climb down the ladder rather than work your way up to achieve the level of success that you want.

Defining your purpose is really important. Sharing your purpose is really important. What’s more important (and often missed) is sharing how you are (as a team) going to get there – and creating the goals together as a team.

Sharing with your team “I want to turnover over 1 million this year” is very scary for them, and leaves them with no map, and no opportunity to ask questions or give input to the vision.

What’s more many dentists do not know how they are going to get there!

There are many aspects of leadership however,  clarifying your purpose is one of the first things you must get right. Who are you? Where are you going and how are you going to get there?

Then you can share this with your team, create the goals together and see who is coming with you!
