Leadership for dentists: Inspiring trust

“To be persuasive, we must be believable; to be believable, we must be credible; to be credible, we must be truthful.” — Edward R. Murrow

To inspire trust you have to trust in others.duver

Mirco-managing as a dentist causes mistrust and doesn’t not help you in your quest to become a strong leader.

Yet this is one of the biggest issues I see dentists face. They can’t let go for fear of something going wrong, yet if they do not trust in their team they stay in the same position. Unable to grow and move forward in their work and personal life. Little tasks consume them, and the team are left frustrated.

You can inspire trust in your team by showing them that you know they can take on X responsibility and complete this to the level you require. Watching your team members flourish is a fantastic feeling. What’s more having a team that know they trusted by you means they will support you in every decision you make.
